Trauma Therapist (full-time)
We are currently seeking a full-time Trauma Therapist who can work a hybrid schedule (in-person and virtual hours) out of one of our Rochester office locations.
Position Summary:
The Trauma Therapist is part of our practice’s clinical team and is responsible for providing ethically sound, evidence-based psychotherapy in our growing group private practice. Our primary client population is adolescents and adults who are survivors of trauma. This role is responsible for providing individual therapy to at least 23 clients per week. The opportunity to lead groups, workshops, and educational trainings may also be available as requested. This is a full-time position.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

Maintain an individual caseload of at least 23 clients per week to maintain full-time employment status.

Conduct biopsychosocial intake assessments with new clients, including providing appropriate clinical diagnoses, with special attention to histories of trauma and oppression.

Conduct individual sessions in person or via telehealth with clients, as well as their partners, families, or others as clinically appropriate.

Complete additional. assessments, treatment plans, discharge notes, and progress notes in a timely manner, as consistent with practice policies and NYS Board standards.

Conduct other administrative duties associated with a small group private practice where indicated.

Participate in scheduled team meetings, including group supervisions and staff meetings.

Contribute to a collaborative and supportive team environment that promotes learning, growth, and continuous professional development.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills, Abilities & Experience:

Master’s degree and valid New York State clinical license (LCSW-R, LCSW, LMSW, LMHC, LMFT, PsyD)

Comprehensive knowledge of trauma treatment and advanced interventions (ie. EMDR, IFS, Brainspotting, Somatic work, attachment therapies, etc.)

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Excellent diagnostic and clinical assessment skills

Appropriate and timely documentation

Comfort with giving and receiving honest, constructive feedback

Ability to take initiative and work independently, as well as with a team

Minimum of 2 years’ experience providing trauma therapy to individuals

Versed in online systems, such as Google Workspace and electronic medical records (EHR)
Compensation & Benefits:
$45-65 per clinical hour. Pay is determined based on experience and licensure.
