Danielle Montrond, LCSW
Clinical Therapist
Danielle Montrond is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) and a clinical therapist at Sustainable Wellness. They received their Master of Social Work degree from Nazareth College in 2017 and currently provides individual therapy to teens and adults at the practice.Â
Danielle has experience working with trauma and complex PTSD, interpersonal challenges, coping strategies for neurodivergent folks, support for the LBGTQIA+ community, and navigating the impacts of shame on the mind’s executive functioning and spirit. They emphasize compassion over empathy and believe in the principles of non-judgment, harm reduction and highlighting strengths.
There are many complexities that can make the therapy processes overwhelming. This can be a challenge to navigate. Danielle’s goal as a therapist is to help clients through authenticity and open communication/dialogue. They believe in utilizing an integrative, client-centered approach that’s informed through elements of systems theory, anti-oppressive theory, gender theory, intersectional feminism, trauma-informed care, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).Â
Danielle view therapy like a hardware store. Throughout our lives, we need tools/skills for different projects. We go to hardware stores because tools break, rust, become lost, or we don’t have the right tools. Vulnerability can be scary. But, Danielle believes it can also be the root of all our strengths.
