About this Group
About.
Looking through the lens of trauma and PTSD, this virtual group aims to help clients improve awareness, practice acceptance, and find their way to the present moment. Mindfulness is a research-based strategy that takes effort and practice. It’s also a necessary first step to building and mastering other coping skills. Participants of this group will gain education about trauma, why mindfulness can be difficult for the trauma brain, and also why mindfulness can be so helpful to trauma healing. Mindfulness exercises will also be introduced and practiced. This group can provide helpful skills to supplement other trauma-focused therapy groups and classes at Sustainable Wellness.
