This workshop provides parent education about how reactions to present stressors (including parenting!) can develop from past experiences. Participants will explore ways to manage and cope with reactions, along with ways to build coping skills and a feasible self-care plan for demanding and busy schedules! Participants will also learn various "gentle parenting" skills for children of all ages. Evidence-based gentle parenting techniques will be incorporated to help meet children's needs while working toward building healthy, long-lasting relationships.

Kaylene Graffitti, LCSW

Kaylene is passionate about helping adults, teens and children who have experienced traumatic events. She has experience working with clients of all ages who have experienced intimate partner violence, family violence, sexual assault, abuse as a child, and other complex traumas. Kaylene takes a strengths-based, client-centered approach while also blending Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), CBT techniques, systems theory, psychoeducation, and of course, trauma-informed care.
