Clinical Interns
Our clinical interns provide therapy at a discounted rate. They are also able to initiate the intake process for those on the waitlist. They offer both short-term therapy and focus on preparation for trauma work through assessment, treatment planning, stabilization work, grounding, and coping skills, and other management techniques.
Our clinical interns offer a sliding scale rate, or discounted rate, of $60/session for individual therapy and $70/session for family therapy and couples therapy. A little bit about them - they are all enrolled in an accredited Master's level program and are working towards their licensure. They've completed education and competencies required to apply their clinical skills with clients, and work under board-approved clinical supervisors.
As an option, you can start your work with one of our clinical interns while being placed on a waitlist with one of our therapists. Our interns are able to provide therapy services in preparation for trauma processing work. This includes assessment as well as stabilization work through grounding, coping skills, and other management techniques. Once you are ready to start processing, we would then get you scheduled with one of our trauma therapists.
By working with a clinical intern, you also receive the benefit of a clinically experienced supervision team assisting in assessment and treatment planning. As a benefit to you and to ensure therapeutic match, our clinical interns offer free 15-minute phone consultations prior to scheduling an intake with them.
