Drew Rabidoux, LCSW
Trauma Therapist
Drew is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and trauma therapist for adults in individual therapy and group therapy settings. Drew is a seasoned therapist with a rich tapestry of personal and professional experiences that inform her empathetic and effective approach to therapy. With licenses in New York, Texas, Wisconsin, and Connecticut, Drew has spent over half her life working in various social service capacities, including high-pressure jobs and volunteering with the Peace Corps in the Dominican Republic. Her educational background includes a BSW from the University of Vermont and an MSW from Yeshiva University.
Drew specializes in a variety of therapeutic techniques, including Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Gestalt Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. She is known for her unique ability to blend humor with therapy, creating a supportive and relatable environment for her clients. At the same time, Drew doesn't sugar coat. If a direct observation of an unconscious pattern is helpful, she's going to give it to you straight-up.Â
Drew specializes in working with women in major transitions in their lives. After the shock of a major change such as divorce/end of relationship, motherhood, loss of a loved one, perimenopause/menopause, among many other major transitions in life, there is an invitation to use this transition as a catapult into a new life and new you. Sometimes trauma can get in the way of being able to fully move forward. Perhaps the same coping mechanisms you used to use and used to help don't work anymore or you just can't seem to get unstuck. Drew helps you figure out and process the past and start to move forward.Â
Drew’s personal journey is as compelling as her professional one. She has navigated difficult relationships, near-death experiences, and life in different countries, all of which have enriched her perspective and resilience. She is particularly passionate about helping women who feel stuck and are ready to explore unconventional solutions, including the therapeutic use of psychedelics.
One of Drew’s notable contributions is her work with women diagnosed with herpes. She has developed a self-paced course to support their emotional healing, recognizing the profound emotional impact of such a diagnosis. Drew’s approach is compassionate, practical, and grounded in over 30 years of experience in the field of sexual health and work in various clinical settings.
When Drew is not working, she can either be found reading self growth books, with her kids and cats, or out chasing New Kids on the Block on tour.Â
